A Vacations End

8 July 2012
So my fabulous journey to the state of California is coming to its close. Tomorrow I will wake up and pack the bags to head back to my lovely home in Springfield Missouri. It has been a trip to remember and it will leave me with many memories. I love my Grandparents dearly and being able to spend time with them was something that I will cheerish. While I could not leave my friends completely, keeping my iPhone close at my hip, I still very much felt as though I took a little vacation from life to get away from the stress. Yes, my wonderful English 101 class did not completely allow a stress free vacation but I was able to manage. Recieving a banged up knee and a week of terrible nights sleep was the cost for such a wonderful trip. For weeks previous to this vacation our family had joked what a burden and horrific experience this would be. I mean, who can blame us, family reunions are notorious for the crazy and unexpected. However I found myself very comfortable, so comfortable in fact that I found myself at the mic on kareokee night singing "Drops of Jupiter" by Train. Ask anybody who knows me and they can confirm that this was most indeed something out of the ordinary. I love my family very much, and while I may not be able to handle going every year, I would definatley love to come back and catch up with some long lost relatives again. Seeing some elk and hiking along the ocean does not make for a bad trip either. A vacation is amazing every now and then but the sad part is that it all comes to an end at one point. So for now I will head back to the lovely state of Missouri and anticipate the results of my best friends trip to Italy. A vacation that most likely will not even come close in comparison to mine, although if she gets lucky it might. Who does not love a good family vacation?
